The exhibition “The Women of Lozenets” continues its journey and can now be seen in the foyer of the Lozenets District administration.
We are delighted to share that the photography exhibition has been presented in the premises of Lozenets District, where it will remain open to visitors for a month. This is a natural continuation of the project “The Women of Lozenets – The Past Meets the Present”, whose central idea is to create a connection between history, the present day and the people who shape the character of the neighbourhood.
We extend our sincere thanks to Konstantin Pavlov, Mayor of Lozenets District, for the invitation and for the opportunity to present the exhibition here — in a space that meets the residents of the neighbourhood every day and allows the stories of Lozenets to reach still more people.
Some of the photographs are positioned so that they can be seen directly from the street, while the rest await visitors in the foyer of the administration. In this way the exhibition steps outside traditional cultural venues and becomes part of the everyday rhythm of the neighbourhood.
The photographs are the work of Bebo Halvadjian and Yavor Konstantinov, who through their lenses capture the individuality, the character and the energy of the women who are part of the Lozenets community today.
Visitors to the exhibition at Lozenets District can also discover the film that forms part of the project, via a QR code placed at the entrance to the administration. Through it, three women connected with the history of the neighbourhood “come to life” through the power of new technology and tell their stories in an artistic interpretation inspired by real archives and documents.
We invite all residents and visitors of Lozenets to see the exhibition and immerse themselves in the stories behind the photographs — the stories of the women who continue to be part of the living memory of the neighbourhood today.
