This page explains how thefaceofsofia.bg uses cookies and similar technologies, what requests it makes to external services, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They are used to make the site work, to remember settings or — in the case of third-party cookies — to recognise your device across different websites.
Cookies set by the site itself
The site does not set tracking, analytics or advertising cookies for ordinary visitors. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or any other web analytics tool.
WordPress — the platform the site runs on — sets technical cookies only when logging in to the administration panel and when submitting a comment. This affects the site’s administrators and editors, not visitors who simply read the content.
Requests to third parties
Even where no cookie is set, loading content from an external server makes your IP address known to the provider concerned. On this site this applies to:
| Service | When it loads | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) |
On every page load | Sets no cookies. Your IP address is transmitted to Google. |
Video preview image (img.youtube.com) |
When opening a project page that contains a video | Sets no cookies. Your IP address is transmitted to Google. |
YouTube player (youtube.com) |
Only after you press the play button | May set third-party cookies and transmits your IP address to Google/YouTube. |
Videos do not load automatically — until you play a video yourself, the YouTube player is not activated and no YouTube cookies are set.
The icons linking to our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube profiles are part of the site and do not send data to those platforms. Data is exchanged only if you click the link yourself and open the platform.
How to manage cookies
You can review, restrict or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers also allow you to block all third-party cookies.
Please note that blocking third-party cookies may prevent the embedded YouTube videos from playing. The rest of the site continues to work normally.
